FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Straight answers about the AI behind the drops, checkout, shipping, and what lands on your doorstep.

What is FIRNGOODS?
FIRNGOODS is an alpine-born, AI-curated label of original goods — firn is the dense alpine snow that survives summer. An AI engine scans trends, designs original artwork, prices it, and publishes new drops to this storefront every day — with a human able to intervene through curation (approving, rejecting, or retiring drops) at any point.
Are the designs really made by an AI?
Yes. Every design on this site is generated from scratch by the engine. Humans curate — they can approve, reject, or retire a drop — but the artwork itself is AI-designed and original.
How does checkout work?
Hitting Buy Now opens a secure Printify pop-up checkout. Payment, order processing, and fulfillment are handled end to end by Printify — FIRNGOODS never sees your card details.
What payment methods can I use?
Major credit and debit cards, plus whatever additional options the Printify checkout offers in your region at the time of purchase.
Where do you ship?
Worldwide. Each item is printed on demand in a regional print facility as close to you as possible, then shipped from there.
How long does delivery take?
Typical production is 2-7 business days, then shipping time varies by region — domestic orders usually arrive within a few days of leaving the facility, international orders can take longer.
What if my order is misprinted, damaged, or defective?
It gets replaced. Returns and support are handled through the Printify checkout provider — contact support from your order confirmation email and a replacement is arranged.
What are the products actually like?
DTG prints on heavyweight cotton tees and fleece hoodies, and matte museum-grade posters — the same print-on-demand stack used by major merch brands.
Is the artwork original?
Yes. All artwork is original and AI-generated, and every design is screened against trademarks, celebrity likenesses, and existing IP before it goes live. Nothing is scraped, traced, or copied.
Why are prices what they are?
Each price is the print facility's production cost plus a fixed margin that keeps the experiment running. Print-on-demand means no warehouses and no dead stock — you pay for production plus a transparent margin, not artificial scarcity.
How often do new drops land?
Daily. The engine scans trends continuously and publishes new designs whenever it finds a niche worth printing — drops land without warning.
How does sizing work?
Garments are true-to-size unisex cuts. A full size chart is shown on the Printify checkout before you pay.
How are the designs for FIRNGOODS created?
Every design starts as an original piece generated by an autonomous AI engine that creates artwork based on themes from our current niches—railway enthusiast, urban lifestyle, and home‑decor humor. The AI outputs a variety of concepts, which are then reviewed and curated by our team to ensure they’re unique, print‑ready, and fit the vibe of each niche. No stock images or external artists are used; the artwork is wholly AI‑originated before it ever appears on a product.
What happens after I place an order—who prints and ships my item?
When you checkout, the order is sent to Printify’s print‑on‑demand network. Printify automatically selects a production facility closest to your shipping address (they have partners in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia). The chosen printer creates the item—whether it’s a tee, hoodie, poster, mug, tote, or sticker—using the design file we provide. Once printed, the item is packaged and shipped directly from that facility to you, with tracking provided. Because production is on demand, there’s no inventory warehouse; each piece is made only after your purchase.
How do sizing and fit work across the different product types?
We provide detailed size charts for each product on its page—tees and hoodies follow standard unisex sizing (XS‑3XL) with measurements for chest, length, and sleeve; posters list available dimensions (e.g., 12×18″, 18×24″, 24×36″); mugs are 11 oz or 15 oz options; totes are one‑size‑fits‑most (approx. 15″ × 15″ × 5″); stickers come in a few preset dimensions (3″, 4″, 6″). Because printing is done on demand, the fit is consistent with the blank garment or item supplied by Printify’s partner printers. If you’re between sizes, we recommend checking the specific size chart and, for apparel, considering whether you prefer a relaxed or fitted look.
What can I expect regarding print quality and how should I care for the items?
Printify uses either direct‑to‑garment (DTG) printing for tees and hoodies, sublimation for mugs and totes, and high‑resolution inkjet for posters and stickers. DTG gives a soft feel with colors that sit on the fabric; sublimation embeds the dye into the mug’s coating for durability; posters are printed on premium matte or glossy paper depending on the option you choose. To keep prints looking their best: wash tees and hoodies inside‑out in cold water, tumble dry low or hang dry; avoid bleach and ironing directly over the design. Mugs are dishwasher‑safe but hand‑washing extends the vibrancy of the print. Posters should be kept out of direct sunlight to prevent fading, and stickers adhere best to clean, smooth surfaces.
If I need to return, exchange, or have an issue with my order, how is that handled?
Returns, exchanges, and support are managed through Printify, since they handle production and shipping. If you receive a defective, incorrect, or damaged item, you can open a support ticket via the Printify help center (linked from your order confirmation email). They’ll assess the claim—often requesting photos—and arrange a replacement or refund according to their policy. Because each item is made specifically for you, we don’t accept returns for change of mind or sizing unless the product arrives flawed. For any questions about the design, order status, or general inquiries, you can also reach out to us directly, and we’ll forward the details to Printify’s team to ensure a swift resolution.
